Dry Ice cleaning company to restore Leicester’s pride

Following national news that a mere 31% of Leicester residents have pride in the city they live in (compared to 86% of York residents who topped the poll*) Leicestershire based dry ice cleaning company Ice Edge, has offered to help restore some much needed love into the city. The company is offering to clean some of its monuments, graffiti and chewing gum and generally give the town a spruce up, all for free!

A fast-rising company, it offers a unique industrial cleaning service whereby dry ice is used instead of conventional methods, reducing the mess left behind by normal cleaning products and further reducing the time it takes to clean. Ice Edge is inviting Leicester residents to vote on what they think should be cleaned up in the town, whether it be a horrible looking piece of graffiti, chewing gum on the street or anything in a local community that will make the people who live there proud to say they are from Leicester. Pretty much anything can be cleaned, so the wackier the suggestions, the better!

Kerry Griffin from Ice Edge commented “I think most people in Leicester were surprised to hear that we were bottom of the whole nation when it comes to town pride. Leicester has a lot to be proud of with the various universities and sports teams, as well as the diverse culture in the city to name just a few. However, we want to make sure we are doing all we can, as a Leicestershire based company to help restore any pride the town is lacking and would be happy to clean up anything the community feels is an eyesore. The city’s motto reads ‘Always the same’, but we want to take steps to make sure we are contributing to positive changes!”
